Step by Step Instructions

  1. Verify the current version of Firmware

    1. Press and hold both the Camera Control  and AUX buttons on the console for approximately three seconds to display System Information.
    2. The following information will be displayed: 
  2. Download and save the Firmware files onto the USB Drive

    1. Download the appropriate Firmware files based on the version currently on your cart. 
      1. Below Version 1.3: Use the instructions to upgrade to v1.3 before proceeding
      2. Version 1.3 and above: download the latest version here: CA300 Firmware (Current Version) 
    2. Place the downloaded file onto the root of the USB Flash Drive                                                 
  3. Upgrade the firmware on the cart

    1. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the right side of the system console and wait 5‐10 seconds for an update prompt.
    2. The system will display the following message: 
    3. Use the Directional pad to select Yes. The console will power off, then back on to update firmware.
    4. This will take about three minutes to complete. 

    5. Upon reboot, an “Updated Successfully” message will appear briefly when finished.
  4. Verify the updated version of Firmware

    1. Press and hold both the Camera Control and AUX buttons on the console for approximately three seconds to display System Information.
    2. The system information will be displayed as in step 1.                                                         
    3. Confirm that updated version of the Firmware. 
  5. Remove the USB drive from the cart

Instructions to upgrade the CA300 to v1.3

  1. Download and save the Firmware files onto the USB Drive

    1. All files can be accessed via the CA300 Firmware Historical Versions Page.
    2. Unzip the firmware files (extract the compressed archive) and copy them into ROOT of the flash drive:
      1. 50-V0.60toV1.3
        • Place the extracted firmware folders — RADFW and MCUFW — in ROOT of flash drive.
      2. 70toV1.3
        • Place the extracted firmware folders — MCUFW and 300_V1_3.pkg — in ROOT of your flash drive.
    3. NOTE: Do not place the firmware files into other folders or modify the files.
  2. Upgrade the firmware on the cart

    1. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the right side of the system console and wait 5‐10 seconds for an update prompt.
    2. The system will display the following message:
        
    3. Use the Directional Pad to select Yes. This will take about two minutes to complete. An “Updated Successfully” message will appear briefly when finished.
    4. The system will then display the following message: 
    5. Use the Directional Pad to select Yes. The console will power off, then back on to update firmware. This will take about three minutes to complete. Upon reboot, an “Updated Successfully” message will appear briefly when finished.
  3. Remove the USB Drive and proceed back to Step 2
