Known Solutions: Horus Scope Hangs at Avizia Screen

Issue: 

The Horus will not display video if a Lens cannot be detected. 

Symptom: 

  • Avizia screen hangs for an excessive amount of time. 
  • Video does not appear on Horus LCD Screen

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Ensure that the lens is firmly attached. 
    1. The Lens should click into place when properly attached. 
  2. Remove and Reattach the lens.
    1. Horus 1
      1. Turn the Horus over so the lens is facing you. 
      2. Twist the lens counter clockwise. 
      3. Remove Lens.
      4. Line up the black dots to ensure proper seating. 
      5. Twist the lens clockwise until it clicks into place. 
    2. Horus 2
      1. Turn the Horus over so that the lens is facing you.
      2. Depress the Lens attachment retention button.
      3. Twist the lens counter clockwise. 
      4. Remove Lens
      5. Line up the black dots to ensure proper seating. 
      6. Twist the lens clockwise until the lens retention button pops into place. 
  3. Clean the connectors on both the lens attachment and the Horus Scope. 
    1. Follow the above steps to remove the lens. 
    2. Using an alcohol wipe:
      • Carefully clean the ring threads where the lens attaches.
      • Carefully clean the pins where the lens connects.Connector_Pins.PNG
    3. Reattach Lens.
