The following release notes are for version 10.23 of the American Well Touchpoint for iOS and Android supported devices. We are also releasing Touchpoint GO updates for Ascom supported devices.

Apps for iOS and Android will be submitted for review on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. We will send a followup note when the apps are approved for their respective app stores and are available to download to your mobile device.

Speak with your American Well Implementation Manager for updating your Ascom devices with this latest Touchpoint GO update.

American Well Touchpoint mobile app

Updated Online/Offline User Status indicator

Your Online/Offline User Status indicator for other users has been updated to show GREEN when you are online, and GRAY when you are offline (logged out, no network connectivity, or Airplane Mode).

The following areas are where your status will be displayed for others to see your availability:

  • Main Menu
  • Directory
  • Messages
  • On Call

SMS notifications now contain direct links

If you have SMS message notifications turned on and you are logged out of the Touchpoint app, you will continue to receive an SMS message notification for any incoming alerts. You will now see a link that will take you an authentication portal and then automatically jump you to that message or case within the app—this saves you several clicks before you can view your secure message.

NOTE: If you have the Touchpoint app installed, clicking the link will open the link in the Touchpoint app upon authentication. If you have not installed the Touchpoint app, clicking the link will redirect you to the mobile browser app for authentication.

American Well Touchpoint GO for Ascom

View/Edit Profile Settings

You can now tap 'Profile Settings' in your menu to view your current profile information. Clicking on 'My Profile' will enable you to edit your profile information:

GENERAL: edit items such as name, contact info (primary and preferred), and credentials

NOTIFICATIONS: choose what method(s) you wish to be notified of alerts and messages

Enhanced messages management

We have provided you with options to help manage your messages inbox and messages in your threads.

NOTE: All messages are captured in the Messages Utilization Report even if messages are deleted.

REMOVE MESSAGES
Within a message thread long press on a specific message and select 'Remove for me' to remove the message from YOUR VIEW ONLY. You will not be able to recover the message once you remove it. A warning prompt and an opportunity to confirm or cancel your action will be provided.

DELETE MESSAGES
Within a message thread long press on a specific message and select 'Delete' to permanently delete the message FOR ALL USERS. You will receive a warning prompt and an opportunity to confirm or cancel your action.

HIDE MESSAGE CONVERSATIONS
Whether in a one-to-one or group message conversation, select the i (information icon) and "Hide Conversation" to clean up your inbox. You will not be able to retrieve a thread that you hide unless the other participant in your one-to-one message, or one of the participants in the group message messages you via that thread.

LEAVE CONVERSATION: Clicking 'Leave conversation' prompts you to confirm or cancel the request. Choosing to leave the conversation will cause the conversation thread to disappear permanently from your list of conversations. The other participants in that conversation will receive a notification that the user has left.

Mobile attachments in Messaging

We have updated the filetypes for mobile attachments in Messaging to align with the Clinical Module web portal.

  • added image filetype: BMP, SVG (currently supports: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF)

  • added video formats: MP4, WebM

NOTE: The file size limit for iOS and Android is 25MB.

NOTE: Though you may be able to attach, send, and receive non-image files within Touchpoint GO, however, you will not be able to view such attachments.
