Release Notes: C250 App and OS v1.1.0 Update

UPDATING YOUR C250 TO V1.1.0
THIS RELEASE REQUIRES BOTH THE OS AND CLINICAL APP TO BE UPDATED!
Ensure that you are updating your device to v1.1.0.
Please scroll to the bottom of this page for instructions on how to update your device. 


In This Release

Support for Hidden SSID Wireless networks

You are now able to configure your C250 to specific hidden SSID networks.

Tap 'Join Another Network' on the Connectivity Settings and you will be able to enter the appropriate SSID and credentials to join your preferred wireless network. The same wireless standards on the C250 are supported for hidden SSIDs.

Dashboard Lock Screensaver, Settings PIN, and Remote Unlock

Through the Fleet Monitoring Dashboard, you can configure your C250 device to show a lock screensaver after a configured amount of time. The lock screen will require a PIN to unlock the device to resume use for Case Creation.

NOTE: You will still be able to receive and accept calls while your device is locked.

Additionally, you may also set a PIN requirement to access the device's Settings page.

Check the appropriate 'Security Configuration' setting you wish to enable and enter a 4-digit PIN that will unlock that particular device.

DEVICE LOCK SCREENSAVER AND PIN

Check the 'Device Screensaver and PIN' option to enable this feature.

You must enter a 4-digit Screensaver PIN, as well as select the Screensaver Timeout duration which presents the screensaver when the device is idle for that duration.

When the device has the screensaver enabled, tap the screen to use the onscreen keyboard to enter the device's assigned 4-digit PIN.

CART SETTINGS PIN

Check the 'Cart Settings PIN' option to enable this feature and enter a 4-digit Settings PIN.

When the device has the Cart Settings PIN enabled, you will be prompted to unlock the Settings page — use the onscreen keyboard to enter the device's assigned 4-digit PIN to access the Settings page.

REMOTE UNLOCK

In the event that a user is unable to enter the correct PIN to unlock either the Lock Screensaver or the Settings page, you can select 'Remotely Unlock' on the 'Security Configuration' section.

Presentation stream viewing

You are now able to view the presentation stream that is transmitted from the Clinical web user on your C250 screen. This is especially important for Stroke use cases where viewing the NIHSS stroke images is a critical part of the workflow.

Updating your C250

The C250 requires both the device's OS and the Clinical app to be updated. All updates on the C250 are managed remotely through the American Well Fleet Monitoring portal. Updates can either be applied automatically, or you can choose to manually trigger updates on a per-device basis.

If your device's settings are set to 'Simple' (default) or 'Advanced - Auto-Reboot', then one or both of these items will download the update(s) automatically when it detects the availability of a new version of the application and/or OS. The 'Simple' setting will download the OS update file only and will wait for a manual reboot to install the OS update. 'Advance - Auto-Reboot' will download the OS update and initiate a reboot to automatically install the OS update.

If the device's settings are set to 'Advanced - Manual', then please review the following instructions to manually update your device.

Refer to the C250 Configuration and User Guide for more information on 'Remote Device Management' for each of the system update options.

VERIFY OS AND APP VERSIONS

In the Fleet Monitoring Dashboard, select the endpoint device to be updated and you can find the Application Version and OS Version under 'Device Info'.

MANUALLY UPDATING THE C250 APP AND OS

To update your C250 to the latest versions of the app and OS, navigate to the 'Commands' tab for your selected endpoint device and choose 'Push App Update' or 'Push OS Update.'

You must update each item one at a time.

NOTE: The OS update will require a system reboot.
