Enhanced Touchpoint's "Add Participant" "Phone" option to leverage the popup dialer for phone tree navigation
We have added easy access to a popup dialer for when you need to navigate a phone tree upon adding a phone participant from Touchpoint.
Add a phone participant as you normally would:
- Tap the Add Participant icon
- Select Phone
- Enter the phone number of the participant you wish to have join the call
At this point, the call will be made and you will return to the video call. If you need to add a number extension or navigate a phone tree:
- Tap the Dialer Icon
- Use the popup dialer as needed
- Tap the X to close the dialer
Improved Guest Invites to automatically open Touchpoint video from email/SMS
We have improved the experience for Guest Invites to join a call from their mobile device.
When an invited guest clicks on the invite link, they will automatically join the call either with Touchpoint or by mobile browser.
NOTE: We have updated the legacy domain to reflect the new *.amwell.com domain for calls. This domain addition is now reflected in the Minimum Technical Requirements for the Amwell Hospital platform.
JOINING CALL VIA TOUCHPOINT
The guest will automatically connect via Touchpoint if the user already has Touchpoint installed.
JOINING CALL VIA MOBILE BROWSER
The guest will automatically connect via mobile browser if Touchpoint is not installed. The user will fill out a short form to identify who is joining the call, and then they must "Allow" access to the device's microphone and camera before joining the call.
Touchpoint Tablet (iOS only): Ability to set a logout security PIN
In order to prevent patients or unauthorized users from closing out of the Touchpoint Tablet functionality and accessing other content on the tablet device, we have added the ability to set a security PIN when attempting to logout of Touchpoint Tablet.
NOTE: This 4-digit PIN is set on the tablet device settings page on the Fleet Monitoring Portal. This can be set when enabling a new Touchpoint Tablet device, or later in 'Endpoints' for a device that has already been added.
SETTING THE PIN
You can configure the Touchpoint Tablet Carepoint with a security PIN in the "Security Configuration" section. Enter a 4-digit PIN and toggle the slider pin to ON to enable the security setting.
LOGGING OUT OF TOUCHPOINT TABLET
When you wish to log out of Touchpoint Tablet, tap "Settings" and navigate to "Advanced" to select the option to "Log Out". You will then be prompted to enter the 4-digit PIN established in the Fleet Monitoring Portal. Enter the PIN and tap "Submit".
NOTE: You will be given three attempts to enter the correct PIN, after which you must have the PIN reset by the Fleet admin. You will no longer be able to logout of Touchpoint Tablet.
RESETTING THE PIN
If you fail to successfully log out within three attempts, you must have the Touchpoint Tablet PIN reset for that device from the Fleet Monitoring Portal.
In the Fleet Monitoring Portal, navigate to the appropriate device in "Endpoints", and under the "Configuration" tab of the device, click the "Reset Tries" button to allow the device to accept a new set of PIN entry attempts. You may add a new PIN and then click "Update Configuration" to accept the new changes.
