Branding and layout updates to the 'Patient Appointment Calendar' and 'Provider On Call Calendar
We are continuing to update and refresh the Amwell Hospital platform with branding updates and design changes that draw our products more in line with each other. Along with minor changes to the colors and fonts to the 'Patient Appointment Calendar' and 'Provider On Call Calendar', we have adjusted the layouts for navigation and workflow efficiency, and to help the site feel more intuitive overall.
Please review the linked PDF for an overview of the changes: Branding Updates - Patient Appointment and Provider On Call Calendars.pdf
Modified "User Settings" page buttons
We have modified the 'User Settings' page buttons (under Tools > System Settings):
- changed the "Remove User from Site" button to "Remove User from Portal"
This simply removes the user from access to that clinical portal. The user is still active in other clinical portals for this enterprise. No changes to the functionality of this button, only the name change.
- added a "Disable User" button
Clicking this will prompt you to remove this user from the portal and lock the account. This will remove the user from the clinical portal.
NOTE: The removed users will not be indexed or searchable within the clinical portal. If a user is linked to completed cases or other logs, the user name will still display but modified with "DISABLED" (e.g., John Doe - DISABLED). The removed user can still be found in Enterprise — an Enterprise Admin can re-enable the removed user and repopulate their identifiers.
Allow "Test Connection" from public Guest Invite join page for other participants
We have expanded the option to "Test Connection" for all guests invited to a call.
Added ability to toggle front- and rear-facing cameras when using WebRTC on mobile devices
We have expanded the ability for users/patients visiting from their mobile device on a mobile browser (utilizing WebRTC and not using AW Touchpoint) to be able to toggle between the front- and rear-facing cameras. Users can simply tap the "flip camera" button to switch camera views.
Improved the people search function
We have slightly modified the ability to search for people with ease of use and intuitive searchability in mind. The users are listed in alphabetical order and you can use the left sidebar to quickly filter by specialty or workflow as before. We've also added an "Only Show On Call Now" checkbox to quickly filter for users that are on call.
