Release Notes: Amwell Hospital (9/10/2020)

NOTABLE FEATURES IN THIS RELEASE:

Improved the ability for users to "spotlight" a particular user in a video call

We have made small improvements to make spotlighting a particular video call participant a little easier. Instead of the video switching from participant to participant as they speak, spotlighting a specific person will keep that particular participant as the main video for all participants until the spotlight is toggled off.

Click the "Participants" button to show you a list of the current participants in the video call.

Simply enable spotlighting a particular person by clicking on the pin for the participant you wish to spotlight.

Added "Verify & Complete" option at the bottom of the 'Case Details' page

We have added the "Verify & Complete" options at the bottom of the 'Case Details' page to you won't have to scroll to the top of the form — depending on where you are on the Case Details page this may save you a little extra time.

Added pagination for easier navigation through "Favorites" directory list

As you establish your list of contacts to mark as "Favorites" (starred in 'Staff Directory'), the list will auto-paginate every 10 directory entries to keep the "All People" list accessible.

Added ability to "Search name or email" for users in 'System Settings'

Administrators can now search on both name or email when searching for Users in 'System Settings'.

Changed "Virtual Connect Rooms" to "Quick Connect Rooms"

We have changed the title for "Virtual Connect Rooms" to "Quick Connect Rooms". You can see the name changes reflected in the following:

  • Clinical Portal: System Settings > Permissions: "Connect" to "Quick Connect"

  • Enterprise: Clinical Portals > Modules: "Connect" to "Quick Connect"

Updated video invite email template for "Guest Invites" with clearer instructions on how to join the call

In addition to updating the legacy domain name in the default emails, we have updated the instruction set provided in the guest invitation that is generated for participants you wish to add to your video call.

Subject: You are invited to a secure video visit from (client organization)

(FirstName Lastname, credentials) invited you to a secure video visit.

Choose how you join from your best option below:
1. On your desktop or laptop, click the link below to join the video visit. For the best experience, we suggest using the appropriate browser for your computer. (Use Chrome for Windows and Android. Use Safari for Mac/iOS.) Be sure to allow permissions for camera and microphone access so you can see and hear the clinician.
(or)

2. If you’re on mobile, click the link below and choose the option that best suits you:
a. Join on iOS Safari or Android Chrome, which is the fastest way to connect. Be sure to allow permissions for camera and microphone access so you can see and hear the clinician.
(or)

b. Download the Touchpoint mobile app for the best video experience. The Touchpoint app is not required, but it will enhance the quality of your video call. When the download is completed, return to this invite to open the app and join the call.
