Audible notification when a Provider, Patient, or Guest joins a video call

We have added an audible notification occurs whenever a patient, provider, or guest:

  • joins a video call, and
  • leaves a call at any time during the call.

This audible notification will now be available across the Amwell Hospital platform.

Added icons to the Patient Portal incoming call modal

We added icons to enhance the visual identification of the "Accept" and "Decline" call buttons.

Added ability to embed a Youtube video in the Patient Portal Waiting Room

If you have specific informational video content or a promotional video you would like to present to your patients while they are waiting in the Waiting Room of the Patient Portal, you can coordinate with your Amwell Representative to add Youtube-specific content to the Waiting Room.

The patient will have the ability to play and control video playback.

Configuration of video size and position, as well as the customizable content for the Waiting Room, is managed with the help of your Amwell Representative through the Enterprise Admin portal.

—————

Language set automatically based on the patient's computer locale setting

The Patient Portal can now detect the language setting on the patient's browser and automatically set the Patient Portal to match for English, Spanish, or Portuguese — the default is English. This ensures a consistent language experience for patients that enter the Patient Portal from an EHR that has similar automatic detection of the patient's language settings on their browser.
