Stethoscope live stream and Store & Forward
We have significantly improved the live stream audio quality, and enhanced the ability to Store & Forward sounds, for digital stethoscopes connected to an Amwell Carepoint.
LIVE STREAM STETHOSCOPE
We have improved the stethoscope filters and settings to significantly enhance the live streaming user experience during visits.
NOTE: While other digital stethoscopes may be used, we recommend using the supported Thinklabs One stethoscope.
STORE & FORWARD
If stethoscope recording is enabled for your workflow, you can record the heart, lungs, or abdominal sounds during a visit and share them with the provider (enabled by default). The sounds will be stored in the Case Details page in the Clinical Portal to be available for review.
NOTE: When you choose to stop sharing or stop recording the stethoscope, you will be presented with the option to forward that recording by uploading it to the case, or delete it to avoid sharing any inadequate sounds with the provider.

Test connection permission notification
To ensure the proper flow of the "Test Connection" wizard, we have added a snackbar notification (slides up from the bottom of your screen) to inform and instruct the user to give access to the mic and camera before they are shown a modal to give permissions.
NOTE: The notification will appear each time the user starts the testing session if the user does not save the mic and camera browser permissions for the Patient Portal — the notification will not appear anymore if the browser permissions are given and saved.

Completed appointments behavior on Patient Appointments calendar
We have made sure that the completed appointments persist on the Patient Appointments calendar page. This allows you to track and have a record of the appointments that have occurred. Only canceled appointments will not appear on the Patient Appointment calendar to free up space for booked appointments.
You can verify that a patient appointment has been completed by clicking to view the specific calendar Appointment Details.

We have updated the fonts and their styles on the Patient Portal. You may notice minor visual changes to enhance layout and readability — these design updates bear no effect on any functionality or workflow.
