Fleet: Bulk Management and actions for devices

Amwell Hospital has an upgrade to the Fleet Monitoring system to allow commands or changes to devices to be applied in bulk. This will not introduce new functionality, but rather enable in-bulk actions that are currently available on individual Carepoints.

To apply bulk commands or changes, a user must select the “Bulk Changes” button from the Fleet Monitoring Dashboard page. The Bulk Changes button will be available only for users with the role of “Fleet-Admin” — users with roles “Fleet-Viewer” and “Fleet-Manager” will not be able to access the Bulk Changes screen.

Upon arriving on the Bulk Changes page, users can then select the specific devices for applying the bulk changes. Any filters selected on the Fleet dashboard page will automatically propagate to the Bulk Changes page, or any filters selected on this page will show on the dashboard page once completing the bulk action update or exiting the page.

The "Select All" checkbox at the top will select ALL Carepoints that meet the filter criteria (including devices on subsequent pages). Different Carepoint types can be selected together (ex. C250 + C750), but note that only actions applicable to that Carepoint will be applied at time of bulk change. All non-applicable devices will be ignored. Refer to the table below for the applicable actions to each Carepoint.

NOTE: A max of 1500 devices can be selected and bulk managed at a time.

Upon clicking “Next” the user will be taken to the "Choose Operation" step where the user can then select the applicable bulk change.

If you want to receive a text or email upon the completion of the bulk change, you can select the check box at the bottom. This will send a success notification to the email or phone number entered into the user’s profile, and the email will give a listing of each device name that was successfully updated by the change. Likewise, if any device was not updated, it will likewise be listed in the outputted email.

Selecting "Submit" will initiate the bulk operation. The user will be taken back to the main Fleet dashboard page, and an in-progress notification will slide up from the bottom of the screen while that the action initiated is in progress. Upon completion, a confirmation notification will appear. The user will receive a text/email notification upon completion if they had checked the notification option when initiation the bulk action.

NOTE: Only one bulk activity can be processed at a time. When the current bulk operation is completed, then another can be initiated.

_________

Clinical Portal: Select from multiple camera and microphone sources

For users that may have more than one camera or microphone connected to their computer, we are incorporating a camera and microphone check that will allow patients, providers, and guests to select which camera and microphone (internal, USB, etc.) they wish to use.

The user will see camera and microphone selection options during the Test Check on the Clinical web portal's Case Details page and Quick Connect–Guest invite.

NOTE: The site will remember the last selections for any authenticated user, but not for guest users.

_________

Reporting: Stroke Metrics Extract: Adding "Imaging 2" fields

We are adding the following fields into the Stroke Metrics Extract:

  • "Imaging Available 2" timestamp — will show the date/time as entered into the new field on the Time Tracker form in the standard date/time format
  • Imaging Study Time 2” timestamp — will show the date/time as entered into the new field on the Time Tracker form in the standard date/time format
  • Imaging Viewed by Provider 2” timestamp — will show the date/time as entered into the new field on the Time Tracker form in the standard date/time format

If the Time Tracker form does not have any value for these fields for a case then these will appear blank. If there are multiple Time Tracker forms attached to a case, the values of the first form will be used.

_________

Fleet: Pagination added to Carepoints list

The Fleet Management dashboard will now have the ability to move between pages of Carepoint devices both at the top and bottom of the page.

_________

Customize name displayed on participant invites

Users can now customize the name displayed on participant invites. For participant invites sent from Cases, Quick Connect, and from within a call, users will now have the ability to select the name displayed on the invite before sending it. Users can elect to show their First and Last name, their Display Name (if applicable), a custom name, or no name in the invite. This functionality applies to Email and Text (SMS) invites, and the name used for the invite will also show in the in-call chat window.

display_name_invite_participant.png

This feature adds further name customization for invites in order to improve the support for use cases where the user sending the invites may not be the actual provider joining the call. For example, the provider may have a coordinator who sends invites to patients before their appointments, so the coordinator may elect to use a custom name on the invites (such as the provider's name) in order to help make it clear to the patients that the call will be with the provider and not the coordinator.

_________

Clinical Portal: All Care Team members can see cases

Any provider on the Care Team of a case will have access to that patient's case and have the ability to initiate calls to that patient. A user that has been added to a Care Team on a case will be able to see all Case Details and initiate and join calls, even if they do not have permissions for the workflow or facility.

Connection Strength Notification across the Hospital platform

We recently added color-coded Connection Strength Notifications for Touchpoint and Touchpoint Tablet users where participants can see their device's wireless signal strength and potential reliability when joining a video call. We will be extending the Connection Strength Notifications to Connect EHR and Case participants joining a call wirelessly from a computer browser or mobile browser (not Touchpoint).

BW-25518_Connection_Strength_Notifications.png

There are three color-coded indicators that will help the video call participants be aware of the expected quality of the video call based on the available bandwidth detected on the device being used.

The three color-coded signal strength indicators provided are as follows:

  • Optimal: The GREEN "full strength" icon will indicate a good network connection.
  • Acceptable: The AMBER "partial strength" icon will indicate acceptable signal strength. A pop-up will appear with a helpful tip to improve signal strength.
  • Low: The RED "low signal" icon will indicate that the network signal is too low for a video call. A pop-up will appear to suggest finding a stronger signal.

The call participant must acknowledge the notification, in the instances of Acceptable and Low signals, by tapping the [ X ].

_________

SSO: Add Groups and Roles to Existing User Accounts through SAML messages (ADFS)

When groups and roles come through the SAML message, they will be added to new accounts and to existing user accounts. Existing group membership is not removed if not passed in the SAML.

This added functionality speeds the assignment of roles and groups to current users — it allows roles and groups to be added to the profile of current users with the same convenient process previously used only for new users, through SSO, Active Directory, and SAML messages.

Please speak with your Amwell Implementation Manager or representative for further information or assistance with this feature.

_________

Updated Clinic and Patient 10-Digit SMS Opt-in /Out Messaging

We have updated the opt in/out language for responses to users should they reply to an invitation text message. The automated return response for 10-digit number messaging is in alignment with friendlier and simpler automated SMS replies.

_________

Patient Appointment Calendar: Improved calendar filtering

We have updated and improved the Patient Appointment Calendar filtering capabilities to allow the provider the ability to view a smaller subset of patient appointment details and events. The additional filters are: Workflow, Patient Name, and Provider. The site will remember your last search criteria.

KNOWN ISSUE: While the Patient Name filter works, the EXACT name must be input in order to find the patient. This will be resolved in a future release to load filtered results as you enter partial names.

_________

Updated "Reassign To Me / Reassign" function on Case Details Page

Users can assign cases to self or assign to others with fewer clicks. This change is in parity with the updated implementation of this functionality on the Touchpoint app and is intended to add a bit of convenience and efficiency to your workflow.

_________

Bug fixes

We have addressed a number of bugs, including:

  • Unable to view all of the Clinical Portal Contact Preference options on 1366x768 resolution
  • Enterprise: User is able to save the password without the requirements being followed/ Rules are not defined for password reset
  • Endpoints dropdown menu on QuickConnect will not fully display
