NOTABLE FEATURES/CHANGES:

  • Touchpoint Tablet: Request for Care eConsent prompt
  • Reporting: Case Details Extract — New eConsent tracking column for Touchpoint Tablet
  • Face ID enabled for Android devices
  • SMS Case notifications now open in Touchpoint instead of mobile browser

Touchpoint Tablet: Request for Care eConsent prompt 

Clients utilizing virtual registration, where patients can request care in a clinical setting, will be able to provide patients with an eConsent form during the intake process. Only the Touchpoint Tablet Carepoint is supported (iOS/Android); C250/C500 are not supported at this time.

A simple popup with the option to Decline or Accept care will be presented when the eConsent option is enabled by workflow.

Reporting: Case Details Extract — New eConsent tracking column for Touchpoint Tablet 

An upcoming Touchpoint Tablet update will include an eConsent form for providers to present to patients which grants the provider the authority to provide medical services. When eConsent tracking is enabled, a new "eConsent" column will be added to the Case Details extract:

  • if a patient has given consent, the report will indicate "Y"
  • if the patient has not provided consent, the field will be left blank

NOTE: The eConsent column will not appear in the extract report if consent tracking is disabled in the Care Access Forms tab of the Enterprise portal. Please contact your Amwell representative for more details.

Face ID enabled for Android devices 

Users can now utilize Android's biometric authentication to bypass PIN entry to access Touchpoint with their face, in addition to the already available option for fingerprint authentication. Biometric authentication must be enabled from their device settings (Biometrics and security > Face recognition).

NOTE: Face recognition is only supported on Android 10.0 or higher.

SMS Case notifications now open in Touchpoint instead of mobile browser 

Users receiving case notifications via SMS messages can now select the case hyperlink to open in the Touchpoint app instead of the mobile browser.
